Ben Everitt, MP for Milton Keynes North, said: “I have been delighted to be able to organize this event to help connect local community groups with the National Lottery Community Fund.

“We had fantastic turnout from a wide range of different organizations across Milton Keynes and I hope we will see some fund-worthy community projects from this.

“I would also like to say a huge thank you to Campbell Park Parish Council for allowing us to use the Springfield Center to host some of the most amazing organizations in Milton Keynes who do so much good in our local communities.”

Iain Stewart, MP for Milton Keynes South, said: “It was brilliant to host the National Lottery Community Fund event with MP Ben Everitt last Friday with 18 different organizations and charities in attendance.

“The event was an opportunity for participants to learn more about the National Lottery Community Fund, with tips on how to apply for grants and how to make a successful application. I am confident that every participant is left with more knowledge about the application process and feeling optimistic about applying for a grant.

“I want to take this opportunity to thank Campbell Park Parish Council for hosting the event at the Springfield Centre, their facilities were wonderful.”

Helen Bushell, Senior Area Manager for London, South East and East at the National Lottery Community Fund, said: “I am incredibly proud to see the incredible impact that the money raised by players in the National Lottery has in Milton Keynes. This event was a great opportunity to introduce our fundraising team to the local community and share ideas on how charities and community groups can access National Lottery funding.

“It was fantastic to see so many local projects in attendance and we would like to thank Ben Everitt and Iain Stewart for organizing this event.”
