Local businesses and offices closed Thursday

Due to heavy snowfall affecting many residents of eastern Washington and northern Idaho, many businesses will be taking a day of snow on Thursday.

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash .– With heavy snowfall in the northwest interior, many government offices and local businesses in eastern Washington and northern Idaho will be closed Thursday.

The snow is expected to continue throughout Thursday morning and potentially into the afternoon.

Here are the businesses and offices that will be closed on Thursday due to weather conditions:

All buildings in Latah County will be closed Thursday due to the winter storm. Residents are advised to stay safe by staying at home if possible and off the road. The departmental company will be reopened on Friday.

Grant County Courthouse

The Grant County Courthouse will have minimal staff in its building on Thursday. Some employees will work remotely and are encouraged to contact their supervisors for instructions.

The town hall of Ephrata will be firm Thursday due to local weather conditions.

All Chaps Restaurant locations will be closed Thursday due to weather conditions.

Spokane Nudo Ramen House will close both branches on Thursday. According to an article posted on their Facebook page, they have decided to shut down for the safety of their staff, customers and delivery drivers.

The city center wine bar closed Thursday due to weather conditions preventing some of its employees from commuting to work. The wine bar is expected to reopen on Friday.

Café Pavilion in the Spokane Valley

Driving coffee published on his Facebook page that the cafe would close around 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday due to the weather.

The steak house published on their Facebook page that they would be closed on Thursday due to the weather. They plan to reopen on Friday.

After heavy snowfall caused an infrastructure failure at the Spokane Falls Community College (SFCC) COVID-19 community test site, it was closed on Thursday. Site staff will be relocated to the Spokane County Fair & Expo Center test site in Spokane Valley on Thursday at 11 a.m. to help increase the volume they except there.

The Spokane County Fair & Expo Center will only test people with appointments. All the appointments for today have been filled.

Airway Heights, Cheney, Fairfield and Moran Prairie Libraries will be closed Thursday and reopened on Friday January 7th.

Libraries that will remain open on Thursday will close at 6 p.m.

Washington State University-Spokane Campus

All non-essential classes and services on the WSU Spokane campus will be suspended on Thursday, January 6, and school operations will reopen on Friday.
