Erin Buss is the new Executive Vice President of the Southeast Trust Company

Erin Buss has been named executive vice president of development and strategy for Southeast Trust Company, according to a company press release. Buss previously worked in commercial banking and as a firm administrator for the firm Purvis Gray CPA.

Southeast Trust Company, LLC is a wholly owned service organization of MIDFLORIDA Credit Union and provides trust and investment services.

County Commissioner Kathy Bryant appointed to Florida Law Enforcement Credentialing Commission

County Commissioner Kathy Bryant has been appointed for a three-year term to the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation. Sheriff Billy Woods also sits on the 15-person commission, “which is made up of law enforcement leaders and elected officials from across the state of Florida,” according to a county government press release.

Who calls? It could be a legitimate survey

If you get a phone call about Ocala City Public Works, it’s not a prank. The department is sponsoring an anonymous telephone survey June 8-15 to gather feedback on its residential and commercial sanitation services, according to a city news release.

Calls will be made from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. On caller ID, phone numbers will appear as 352-224-9053 or 352-872-7306. Sarasota-based Baldrige Group, LLC is handling the investigation.

CareerSource Schedule Update Citrus Levy Marion

Starting June 6, all CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion career centers will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. instead of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. “This change will last until Covid-related conditions warrant a return to regular hours for in-person services. the agency said in a press release.

In Marion County, this applies to the CareerSource CLM center at 2703 NE 14th St., Ocala, and its affiliated Talent Center (in partnership with the College of Central Florida) at 3033 SE College Road, Building 42, Suite 101.

Planet 13 will locate a marijuana dispensary in Ocala

Cannabis company Planet 13 announced last week that it would locate the third of its six planned Florida dispensaries in Ocala.

In a press release, the company said it was targeting “large Florida population centers with underserved local residents.”

The company didn’t provide a mailing address for its Ocala location, saying only that it will be “across from a Walmart Supercenter and an IMAX theater.”

According to its website, Planet 13 is “a vertically integrated cannabis company, with award-winning cultivation, production and dispensary operations in Las Vegas and Orange County, California.
