Free tree giveaway to celebrate National Tree Day and Local Government Week 2022

National Arbor Day July 31/local government week Monday August 1 to Sunday August 7

Dungog Shire Council provides invaluable services to the local community, 365 days a year. Local Government Week is an opportunity to promote the Council and what it gives back to the community. While many people know that councils manage fares, roads and waste, the breath and diversity of their work often goes unrecognized.

In conjunction with National Arbor Day (Sunday 31st July) a FREE Tree Giveaway to celebrate Local Government Week is once again taking place in 2022, Dungog Shire Council supports this fantastic environmental program each year with the donation of 250 native tube trees to Dungog residents. Local government area (maximum of 3 trees per household).

Community groups and schools are also welcome to participate (maximum 25 trees per group) please contact the council for your voucher.

Trees can be collected from the Riverdene East Gresford Nursery, Clarence Town Post Office or Council Administration Building from Thursday 28th July to Saturday 30th July (while supplies last).

All trees are native tube stock.
