Nightlife in Dominica is not what you would describe as outrageous, but there is some activity to be spoken of in the after dark hours.
Vacationers typically stick to the nighttime entertainment hosted by their resort, from theatrical performances to “jing ping” concerts, and more. These resorts often have bars on property, such as the Balas Bar at Fort Young Hotel and Cellars Bar at Sutton Place Hotel.

If you'd like to get out a mingle among the locals, there are a variety of bars and nightclubs to choose from.
If you're looking for the luck of the Irish in Dominica, head to O'Byrne's Irish Pub. A DJ spins pop hits on the weekends, and locals like to hang out here for a pint and menu items that include fish and chips and shepherd’s pie.
Spiders is a bar with a safely guarded secret – the recipe to their famed Spider Pie. Nobody knows exactly what is in this menu item, but people come far and wide to try it out.
There is no cover at Symes Zee's, but even if there were, the place would still be packed on Thursday nights when a live jazz band plays. Drinks here are also reasonably priced.
Many bars on the island show up as part of a restaurant, which is perfect for someone who wants something a little stronger with their supper. These include Garage Bar & Grill, Melivina's Champagne Bar & Restaurant, Saaman Tree, Stone Edge, and Sundowner's Cafe.
